Dev Diary #34: One Planet Start
When will this fan favourite game mode return? Introducing a raft of new content built around this POPULAR game mode...
One of the questions I get asked most often is what happened to the One Planet Start game mode where you begin with a small fleet, a small army, and a single planet in a galaxy populated by hostile and indigenous forces.
This popular game mode had to be removed from the mod several versions ago, back when the number of playable factions was about half the number now.
As subscribers will know, the number of playable factions is set - basically - to double again. You can find the complete list of playable factions here:

Change as big as this means that the original One Planet Start scenario won’t be returning. But the game mode will be back, in a fresh form, bigger than ever.
