Today I’m very excited to show off two brand new units coming to Star Wars: Age of Legends: The Crime Lords!

NEW: Ubese Commandos

The most famous member of the Ubese species is the bounty hunter Boushh, whose armor is worn by Princess Leia in Return of the Jedi. In lore, the Ubese were known as hardy fighters, assassins, warriors, bounty hunters and mercenaries.

Given that Leia reckoned the sight of a Ubese bounty hunter would be common enough to not attract attention during the Rebel infiltration of Jabba’s palace, I’ve extrapolated that Jabba’s crime family - the Desilijic Kajidic - made frequent use of Ubese fighters.

So these will be the elite Special Forces Infantry for the Desilijic; able to infiltrate hostile worlds to conduct raids. They come in squads of five mercenaries, with four squads per company.

They can be used particularly effectively with the Mandalorian Mercenary Operatives that the Kajidic can recruit to sow devastation on the worlds of rival Kajidics once the Hutt wars begin.

The Ubese Commando is currently slated to also appear for the Hutt Cartel’s roster, but these will be the only two appearances for these cool units: the other Kajidics will have their own unique Special Forces Infantry.

NEW: Offworld Tusken Sniper

Tusken Raiders are, rarely, seen off Tatooine. One appears as a bounty hunter-type figure in the background of Crimson Empire II. And in the game Dark Forces II they appear as raiders in the employ of the Seven Dark Jedi.

I’ve extrapolated from that to give the Desilijic Kajidic - which is, after all, based on Tatooine - the option to recruit Offworld Tusken Snipers.

These mercenaries will be completely unique to the Desilijic Kajidic. They may also get a custom texture (not seen here).

Exclusive for paid subscribers: the WIP preview of the Desilijic Kajidic land roster build bar with a breakdown of all units in-game so far, and preview images of the Ubese Commandos and other Desilijic units in action for the FIRST TIME!
