Jabba the Hutt’s space roster will be pure chaos—in the best way possible
How can the dead gangster's followers rebuild in the aftermath of Jabba's death?
The crime empire of his late exaltedness, Jabba, is in a state of chaos. With the crime boss’ death at the hands of Princess Leia and the Rebel Alliance, the Hutts are out for vengeance, none more so than Jabba’s father, Zorba the Hutt. Meanwhile, former majordomo Bib Fortuna is making his own bid to seize control of the Desilijc Kajidic, and the heads of rival Hutt families see their chance to become lord of the underworld.
The Empire wasn’t the only power thrown into crisis by the end of Return of the Jedi with the death of its leader.
The assassination of Jabba the Hutt, or to give him his full name, Jabba Desilijic Tiure, the infamous crime boss who headed the Desilijic Kajidic, left the largest faction in the galactic underworld in chaos.
It’s finally time to tell that story in Empire at War.
As subscribers will know, this year the four most significant of the Hutt crime families (the Kajidics) are going to become fully playable factions in their own right, in addition to the Hutt Cartel itself.
One way to think of the Kajidic factions and the central Hutt Cartel is of their being like ‘Hutt warlords’ - analogous to the Imperial warlords trying to take control of the central Imperial state while warring with each other. Gameplay for the four different Kajidic factions is going to be quite unique, with several new systems and features - about which I’ll be saying more soon.
I thought it made sense to begin work on the CRIME LORDS release with Jabba’s own crime family, as a bloody battle begins for the succession.
I can now give an EXCLUSIVE early preview of the Desilijic Kajidic’s space roster. This will include several units that only appear rarely in the mod at present, and which are not buildable or usable by the player, and some entirely new units. There are already a lot of goodies.
