Dev Diary #37: Infinities! The 'what-if' scenarios coming soon
New Republic civil wars, Mandalorian crusades and a galaxy controlled by the Hutts... a full rundown of all Infinities scenarios currently planned
We’re zooming out today for a look at something beyond the current development cycle: the Infinities scenarios that will be coming as the mod reaches v2.0 and its ‘finished’ state.
These are the ‘what-if’ Galactic Conquest campaigns that imagine how Expanded Universe lore might have changed in a parallel universe, allowing for new stories, and new gameplay possibilities, featuring fan favourite characters and some really fun scenarios.
The Age of Legends mod already features one Infinities campaign: the ‘25 ABY: Dark Vector’ campaign, in which the Clone Emperor’s dark side magocracy reigns from Byss, and the Yuuzhan Vong invasion begins: pitching Kor Chokks against World Devastators and Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyers.
Rise of Caedus features another, the ‘40 ABY: Classic Conflict’ scenario, in which the Galactic Alliance and the Galactic Empire come to war nearly a century before the Sith-Imperial War.
